This blog post is dedicated to those who lost loved ones in the boating accident on November 17, 2018. Templar and his wife Sheila Bisase are among the 32 people (by the time this post was written) that passed away when the boat they were traveling in capsized. They will be remembered for their love for people and their zest for life. Many good and bad things have been said about this incident and many more will be said in the future. Only one thing holds true.
Psalm 23: A Psalm of David
The Lord is my shepherd;
I shall not want.
2 He makes me to lie down in green pastures;
He leads me beside the still waters.
3 He restores my soul;
He leads me in the paths of righteousness
For His name’s sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil;
For You are with me;
Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
You anoint my head with oil;
My cup runs over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me
All the days of my life;
And I will dwell in the house of the Lord
May all those families and friends, who lost loved ones be comforted. May the children who have been left parentless or orphaned find mercy. The words of this Psalm have deep truths that we can count on. May these words bring hope and healing to many. In the midst of deep darkness, we can find hope.
