5 Tips For Elevating Your Potential!

Location Alert: You are not in that position or place by sheer coincidence. There is a reason for your positioning. Find out what it is and carry out your assignment judiciously. Like Queen Esther, you are placed in positions of influence for a specific assignment. Do not allow yourself to get consumed by the trappings of your position. “Esther 4:14: For if you remain silent at this time, relief and deliverance for the Jews will arise from another place, but you and your father’s family will perish. And who knows but that you have come to royal position for such a time as this?”

Find a Mentor: It is important to have a mentor (s) in your life. Everyone needs someone who can caution, advise and speak into their lives. Mordecai was a mentor to Esther. It is also good to ask for advice; for in a multitude of counselors there is safety (Proverbs 11:14)

Prepare Adequately: Esther allowed herself to be prepared for the task. Esther asks Mordecai to request all the Jews in Susa to fast and pray because of the daunting challenges that threatened the existence of her people. She also fasts with her servant girls who had obviously converted to Judaism from the Persian culture. (Esther 4:15). Preparation time can sometimes be long and in some cases uneventful. David spent several years with the sheep even after being anointed as king of Israel. Moses spent 40 years in the desert looking after sheep before coming to deliver the Israelites. The refining of character is essential in the season of waiting.

Learn to Wait: God works in His own time and season. Esther got her timing right. Maybe God has put something on your heart to do for Him through your work; since work is service to Him. Don’t just jump into it, but wait for His time. Joseph was in jail until it was God’s time for him to be released. God will move on your behalf in His time.

Are you willing  to take these risks when the time comes?  Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai, “Go, gather all the Jews that are present in Susa, and observe a fast for me; do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my maids also will fast in the same way. Then I will go in to [see] the king [without being summoned], which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish.  So Mordecai went away and did exactly as Esther had commanded him.” Esther 4: 15-17.

You have untapped potential on the inside of you. Harness that potential. Many are counting on you.
